RSVP Events

Nationally, RSVP runs a number of regular events. Click on the title of each for further details:

Get Active Week

Held in June each year, this is an opportunity for RSVP groups to arrange fun outings for local people who are less able or well off. It also provides publicity for RSVP and allows newcomers to experience the delights of volunteering.

Make a Difference Day

RSVP groups run local events as part of this CSV flagship initiative held at the end of October each year. Make a Difference Day encourages people of all ages to spend one day helping their community. In 2006 some 120,000 took up the challenge, and took part in a wide range of activities.

Arts, Crafts and Photo Competition

Held every second year, the competition both highlights, and stimulates the great creativity of our volunteers throughout the UK. Knitting, embroidery, jewellery, sculpture, craftwork, painting, drawing and photography are judged at London Head Office by professionals who kindly donate their time and expertise. The best of the work is then show at a public venue in London. In the past it has been displayed at a Livery Hall, the Scotland Office and in 2007 the Guildhall.
